Community Projects

We run local music sessions for young people such as our youth bands and free Arts Award programs. These initiatives inspire creativity, build confidence, and bring inclusive music-making experiences to local communities.

Mini Band Sessions

Mini Band is our 7-11 yrs group that runs 4-5:30pm. £11 per session paid termly.

For developing musicians beginning their musical journey. This is a child-led music program where students learn by playing songs they enjoy. Sessions focus on developing each child's current ability on their chosen instrument, while allowing them to explore others and learn to play as part of a band. There is a minimum of one public performance opportunity per year.

A free trial is offered for the first session.

Youth Band is our 11-16 yrs group that runs 5:30-7pm. £10 per session paid termly.

For confident young players ready to level up. This is a child-led music program where students learn by playing songs they enjoy. This performance-focused band requires the ability to practise independently between sessions. Members refine their skills through diverse gigs, with a minimum of 3 performance opportunities per year. Includes a dedicated guitar workshop with a tutor once per term.

A free trial is offered for the first session.

For experienced musicians who learn independently. This advanced ensemble tackles a new project every few months, from themed sets to original collaborations. Members must be prepared to diligently learn the set material. The focus is on creating unique and ambitious performance opportunities not found in standard bands.

Trinity College Arts Awards

Would you like to spend more time making music with professional musicians AND earn a nationally recognised qualification?

Bronze Arts Award

We will be running a 12 week programme, beginning in February*, where you can achieve a Bronze Arts Award. This is a nationally recognised qualification (equal to Level 1/GCSE 1-4) and are suitable for those aged 11 - 16. years. Sessions will run on a Saturday during term time 11am – 1pm in Pode Hole *(Spalding) and will be made up of a variety of activities: learning songs, exploring other musicians and bands, attending an arts event and sharing your skills with others. Silver Arts Award

We will be running a 12 week programme, beginning in September*, where you can achieve a Silver Arts Award (equivalent to Level 2/GCSE 4-9) and are suitable for anyone who has completed their Bronze Arts Award or those aged 14-18 years. Sessions will run on a Saturday during term time 11am – 3:30pm in Pode Hole and will be made up of a variety of activities: learning songs from different genres, researching arts organisations, careers and practitioners, reviewing arts events and leading your own project.
